ポップカルチャーを牽引してきたカメラのポラロイドから、Polaroid SNAP、Polaroid Zip, Polaroid CUBE+の３つの新製品が５月に発売を予定されています。この発売を前に、メディアの方々、インフルエンサーの方々それぞれをお招きした新製品紹介イベントを弊社オフィス内にて行いました。
Polaroid, known in the past for its influence on pop culture, will launch 3 new, innovative products this May: the Polaroid SNAP, Polaroid Zip, and Polaroid CUBE+. Before their release, the press and other influencers were invited to try out the new products at various Polaroid events held at our Candlewick office.

Polaroid SNAPはデジタルとインスタントカメラの両方の機能を兼ね備えたすぐれもの。撮った写真をその場でプリントしつつ、データでも保存。旅先で出会った人に撮った写真をその場で渡したり、パーティーでみんなに渡したりしても大丈夫。自分の手元にデータが残るので、それをSNSでアップすることもできます。Polaroid Zipはスマホなどから写真を印刷できるモバイルプリンター。業界最小サイズで持ち運びも簡単。Polaroid CUBE+は、手のひらにコロっと乗るサイズが可愛い、カジュアルに使えるアクションカメラです。ガラス窓や水槽にくっつく吸盤や、飲み物を飲む様子を写せるショットグラ型のアクセサリーなど、遊び心の詰まった付属品（別売）も多く、色々な使い方ができます。ペットにつけて、彼らの目線を知るのも面白いかもしれません。
Polaroid SNAP is a digital and instant camera in one, enabling the photographer to print out the photograph instantaneously, while being able to save data at the same time. It’s a great way to give photos to people you meet while travelling, or passing out to friends at a party. And since you have the data, you can upload it later on your SNS! Polaroid Zip is a mobile printer which allows you to print out photos from smartphones. It’s the smallest of its kind and is easy to carry around. Polaroid CUBE+ is a palm-size instant camera that can be a fun, new addition to your daily life. Stick it to a window or a fish tank, take a picture of yourself drinking a shot with the shot glass-shaped accessory, or hang it on your pet’s collar and take pics from a pet’s point of view. The CUBE+ comes with many accessories (on sale separately) that brings out the little kid in all of us.
お越しいただいたライフスタイルメディアを中心とした媒体の方々やカメラマンさんには、製品の説明やポラロイドの歴史をご説明。それぞれの製品をその場で使ってみていただきました。
At the event held for the lifestyle media participants and professional photographers, we gave a brief history of Polaroid along with the product introduction, asking them to use and feel the new products for themselves.
 

おやつにはカップケーキを用意し、Polaroid Zipで制作した特製の旗をつけました！写真の裏面はシールになっているので、顔写真などをプリントしてお誕生日会！なんてこともできそうです。
Cute flags topped the dessert! The cupcake flags were made with Polaroid Zip, which can be peeled off to become stickers, making it the perfect birthday memorabilia.
 
別の日に実施した会では、フォトグラファーやモデル、インスタグラマーとして活躍されているインフルエンサーの皆さんにお集まりいただき、こちらでもPolaroid SNAPを中心に使ってみていただきました。今回は実験的に、表参道界隈を自由に散策しながら、みなさんで仲良く街撮り。さすが写真が好きなみなさん。キャンドルウィックスタッフも驚きな、意外な使い方もありました！
We also held another event with photographers, fashion models and influential Instagrammers. They went for a stroll around the Omotesando area with the Polaroid SNAP, and experimented with the new product. The outcome was beyond our imagination.
“Share The Fun!”というキャッチフレーズの通り、即興的に瞬間を切り取って楽しい思い出を分け合えるPolaroid SNAPは、パーティーや夏の音楽フェス、旅行にと、色々なシーンで活躍しそう。アナログとデジタルの面白さを持つライフスタイルカメラとしての製品を体験いただく機会になりました。当日のイベントに関連した写真は、Instagram でもアップいただきました。
Polaroid SNAP, with its slogan “Share the Fun!”, enables you to take photos and instantaneously share the memories with one another, whether at a party, summer music festival, travelling, or any situation.
