秋冬の時期、キャンドルウィックスタッフが毎年楽しみにしていることがあります。それは、10月中旬から翌年1月の約4ヶ月の間に店頭に並ぶニュージーランド産アボカド！
The Candlewick team is always looking forward to the autumn winter season. The reason? Because it’s the New Zealand avocado season! New Zealand avocado are sold around Japan for approximately 4 months from mid-October to January.
2016シーズンはキャンドルウィックでサポートする7回目のシーズンとなりますが、今回は、旬のシーズンの始まりをより多くの方に知っていただくため、ニュージーランド産アボカドスムージーワゴンでのスムージーのサンプリングを10月中旬から11月中旬の1ヶ月間、実施しました。
This was Candlewick’s 7th time to support the PR marketing of New Zealand avocados. To ensure even more people heard about this year’s New Zealand avocado bumper season, the avocado smoothie wagon provided samples to consumers for one month between mid-October and mid-November.

今シーズンは、アボカドの豊富な栄養素と、腸内環境や血行の改善、脂肪分解、肝機能低下予防といった秋冬に特に関心度が高くなる健康トピックとの関係について訴求するため、ヨーグルトとはちみつを使った腸活に効果的なスムージーのレシピを開発したり、パンフレットでアボカドの効能について紹介しました。
For this season, we created a tasty avocado smoothie recipe using yogurt and honey, and made a brochure on NZ avocados to highlight the nutritional benefits of avocados. They are highly effective for many health ailments common during the cold seasons, such as the improvement of blood circulation and digestion; enhanced breakdown of fat; and prevention of the decrease of liver function.

6年前にキャンドルウィックがPRを始めた頃に比べ、アボカドの輸入量が年々増え続け日本の食卓に登場する機会が格段に増え、アボカドもだいぶ身近な果物になりました。市場の拡大にあわせPRのターゲットも、オピニオンリーダー、アーリーアダプター向けから、よりマス向けにシフトし、近年はスーパーでのサンプリングやニュージーランド旅行が当たるキャンペーンなど、セールスプロモーション寄りの活動を中心に行っています。あわせて、公式のFacebookとInstagramも運営し、常に新しくフレッシュで、有益な情報を発信しています。
The import volume of NZ avocados has increased gradually during the 6 years Candlewick has supported its PR activities, making NZ avocados a very common and popular fruit in Japan. As its market has expanded, Candlewick’s PR strategy has gradually shifted the target from opinion leaders and early adapters to a more mass consumer target, and now focuses on sales promotion such as in-store sampling events and PR campaigns with air ticket prizes to New Zealand. In addition, Candlewick operates NZ avocado’s official Facebook and Instagram to provide the most up-to-date and engaging information.
