This is the third year that we at Candlewick have been promoting New Zealand JAZZ™ apples. Apples are usually a fall and winter fruit, but because New Zealand and Japanese seasons are opposite, JAZZ™ apples are in season from mid-May to mid-August every year. Now, you can enjoy apples even in the summer! JAZZ™ apples are crunchy, a perfect balance of sweet and sour, with a clean juicy taste.
We are introducing recipes on the official JAZZ™ apple website again this year, so more people can enjoy JAZZ™ apples.

At Candlewick, we are working towards sustainable PR. Whilst working on the PR for JAZZ™ apples, I got the feeling that they are representative of sustainable food because of their small, ready-to-eat size. Wax-free apples are safe and nutritious and can be eaten skin and all. This year, we are gifting JAZZ™ apples to many KOLs to increase sustainability and brand awareness.

Today, June 28, is JAZZ™ Apple Day! It’s important to try out the products you are promoting, so as a JAZZ™ apple chef who loves to cook, I am always creating different JAZZ™ apple recipes. This dish is a Nagano rhubarb and JAZZ™ apple crumble. Good food is more fun to eat with others, so I often bring my dishes to work. It also contributes to the wellbeing of my coworkers!
