This week, we are going to introduce “Summer Vacation Recommendations” 😎!

This time we’ll introduce “Copenhagen”. The heat in Japan is getting hotter every year🔥 One of our team who has lived in Denmark will tell you about this cooler summer holiday destination.

Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark and a port city, named after the merchants’ port “Kjøbmandehavn”. Its population is expected to be 1.3 million in 2024, and although it is growing, it is more compact than Fukuoka City in Kyushu. The city has created a bicycle path to make use of the flat land and to make it a sustainable city. The city is full of people commuting to work and school in the morning, and tourists also enjoy renting bicycles🚲
The average maximum temperature in Denmark in July and August is around 20 degrees Celsius. Many old buildings do not even have air-conditioning. Although it is hotter nowadays, Danish citizens consider sunlight to be a ‘valuable source of nourishment’. In summer, the seaside is filled with people sunbathing in swimwear and enjoying conversations in the parks. You can enjoy urban pursuits such as architecture tours, museums and gourmet restaurants, or just relax and soak up the sun on the harbour decks or in the parks⛵
Summer is the time to experience the beautiful city of Copenhagen, also known as the Paris of Scandinavia.

Next is Lithuania!

Why not go to Lithuania for a breathtaking mystical experience at the Hill of Crosses, which is lined with over 50,000 crosses? It is said that crosses were originally placed there in the 1830s, when people brought them one by one to remember those who were impacted by Russian oppression.
Today, there are 50,000 of them. The moment you step onto the hill, you will be overwhelmed by its appearance and atmosphere. There are crosses of all sizes and shapes, so you can spend hours just walking around and looking at them.
Anyone can place a cross here, so we’d recommend you leave one!

The last ‘Summer holiday Recommendations’ is from one of our team member who used to live in Milan, Italy for several years, introduces a seaside spot that can be enjoyed as a day trip from Milan. Santa Margherita Ligure Portofino can be reached by express train from Milan Central Station in a little over two hours (by the way, it takes longer by car). From there, take the ferry towards Portofino, where you will find the beautiful emerald green waters. The trekking route along the coastline from Santa Margherita Ligure (called Santa by the Milanese) to Portofino is super romantic, but I personally prefer to take the ferry to the small little beach at San Fruttuoso, just before Portofino. There, I usually rent a bed and parasol at a local restaurant called La Cantina, so that I can relax at the beach for whole day— floating in the impressively beautiful sea, having a nap, enjoying a delicious lunch etc🏖️

Why not join the Milanese to enjoy the summer holiday or weekend in the Mediterranean with its delicious dishes, and beautiful scenery? If you can stay longer, I would like to reccomend to visit the surrounding area, such as Cinque Terre and Camoli! Or why do not make a short trip to Monaco, where you’ll enjoy the most elegant of summers😆❤️
