This month, we’d like to share an event organized by Candlewick❣️
Today, we’re excited to introduce one of our newest clients — the Welsh Government and their “Year of Wales and Japan 2025” project in Japan! 🌸
Wales and Japan are partners that share values of sustainability, creativity, and tradition. Throughout this year, we will be collaborating with key global and local events to launch a variety of initiatives✨
To kick off, we held an event at the San-no-Maru Square of Himeji Castle to celebrate St. David’s Day, Wales’ most important national holiday! 🎉
On the day, we featured a stamp rally using five original station stamps (known as ‘Eki Stamps’ in Japan) created by Jonathan Edwards (@jonyofski), an illustrator from North Wales. In addition, we enioyed a performance of the Welsh song “Furusato” by two Welsh singers who visited Japan for St. David’s Day celebrations.
In addition, we set up an iconic Welsh red dragon origami booth, and over 1,000 people participated, making it a huge success! ✨
A variety of activities will continue to unfold throughout the year, so please stay tuned for future updates! 👀

At Candlewick, we have been handling the PR for ‘Janu Tokyo’ at Azabudai Hills since its opening last year 🗼.From March 15th, a collaboration entitled “FOOD x ART at Janu Tokyo” with contemporary artist Tomokazu Matsuyama, based in New York, is being held 🎨🖌️.At a recent event, we were pleased to have various media in attendance, and we used this opportunity to announce the second phase of the collaboration, “Night Museum with Tomokazu Matsuyama” ✨.With themes of “connection,” “inspiration,” and “exploration,” the collaboration between Janu Tokyo and Mr. Matsuyama is a moment full of inspiration across art, culture, and dining! Be sure not to miss this exciting experience!
