This spring, on the 18th anniversary of the founding of Candlewick, there have been new things happening! Candlewick welcomed 3 new young employees to the office. Each member comes from a completely different background, but we are making the most of our strengths and working hard!

The world of PR is a place where both knowledge and experience are essential. Over 12 sessions, we learnt in-depth about practical communication design- the PR that makes Candlewick stand out from other PR companies.

From basic business etiquette to developing media angles, media caravans, and proposal writing, we learned the basics of PR work that we, as future Candlewick employees, need to know. We, Candlewick’s newest members, would like to share with you what we learned during the training and express our hopes for the future.

One of the most important things we learned was how to brainstorm. We discussed our ideas with Candlewick’s keyword “perception change” in mind. To bring about a change in the consumer’s behavior, we decided on targets and angles, and thought about what the brand message should be. With the way we interact with the media constantly changing, we looked at contact points and discussed how to develop PR strategies.

We then drafted a press release. We learned that to convey the advantages of a product, it is essential to be objective and include accurate information, as well as to describe the product with context, paying close attention to current trends. It is important to put yourself in the shoes of the reader when creating a release. We our own press releases with each other, and there were many aspects that we could learn from, which was very helpful.

From now on, thanks to this training, we will be conscious of “Your Attitude” and “being conscious of key words” and apply them in our work. First: “Your Attitude”. We learnt the importance of always thinking from the other side’s point of view. This includes considerations such as whether the client is satisfied with the work, and if the information is useful from the customer’s point of view. Second: we need to be “conscious of keywords”. In our line of business, it is critical to keep up with new trends as well as upcoming trends.

When writing press releases and proposals, it is important to be able to predict trends and reflect them in our work. We should not only check newspapers, news, and social media daily, but also try to notice the trends in the world around us. Within the office, we all work for different clients, but as Candlewick employees, we all share the same desire to contribute to each brand’s business success.

We all have learned a lot from the training, and we will keep “Your Attitude” and “Be Conscious to Key Words” in mind as we go about our work!
