The “Lord of the Rings” series is again attracting a great deal of attention with the start of of the TV series version on Amazon Prime and the first IMAX screening of the 4K remastered version in Japan.

Did you know that both the movie and drama versions were filmed in New Zealand?

For a Lord of the Rings fan, a New Zealand location pilgrimage is a must at least once in their life!

“International Hobbit Day” was held on September 22 for the first time in three years at the Hobbiton Movie Set! The day is to celebrate the birthdays of Bilbo and Frodo, the main characters in the “Lord of the Rings” and “Hobbit” series. Tickets for the event were sold almost instantly, and the event attracted a large crowd of people from abroad- including Japan.

“The Lord of the Rings,” “The Chronicles of Narnia,” “The Last Samurai,” “Wolverine,” and many other big films have been shot in New Zealand, with its magnificent and beautiful nature attracting many people from around the world.

In New Zealand, where the Maori values of environmental conservation, “Kaitiakitanga,” have taken root, much of the country’s rare wildlife, glaciers, rugged mountains, beautiful lakes and rivers, and virgin forests have remained intact as they were in their ancient state.
