We hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful holiday season.
Today, we’d like to look back on a memorable event from 2025—perfect for reflecting during the holidays ✨
In 2025, the year was celebrated as “Year of Wales in Japan 2025,” marking and strengthening the friendship between Wales and Japan through a wide range of PR initiatives throughout the year.
As part of this initiative—and to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Well-being of Future Generations Act, first enacted in Wales in 2015—a panel discussion was held at Kita Noh Theater in Shinagawa, Tokyo, under the theme:
“Art,cultural heritage and SDGs Passing on traditional arts to future generations”
The discussion welcomed Noh performer Takanobu Sakaguchi (Kanze School) and Wales-based artist Junko Mori as guest speakers. Together, they explored how the inheritance of traditional culture and creativity can influence local communities and education, and how these elements contribute to the well-being of future generations—drawing on practical examples from Wales 🔥
It was a moment to pause from our busy daily lives and reflect on new ways art and society can connect in the future.
As this holiday season brings many opportunities to engage with traditions and culture—through New Year celebrations and shrine visits—we hope this inspires you to also take a moment to reflect on well-being 🍂
Wishing you all a warm and wonderful holiday season ✨
