Tourism New Zealand, who we support with PR, held its first post-pandemic trade event ‘Kiwi Link Japan 2024’, targeting travel agency buyers on March 11 and 12.

24 local tourism suppliers gathered in Japan to introduce their products and services to 26 Japanese travel agents and operators and conduct business discussions based on the latest information from the local market.

The event started with a haka performance by indigenous Maori people. As well as using QR codes instead of printed material, participants were also encouraged to bring their own bottles and recyclable coffee capsules, encompassing the message of responsible tourism and in keeping with Tourism New Zealand’s advocacy of respecting national cultures and travelling with a flexible mindset.
